EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
NEGOTIATIONS FOR 1925. LONDOX, September 12. have been in progress for, some' time 'between the Empire ExMbi- { Tion authorities and the Australian j Commission for the continuance of the-i Exhibition in 1025. It is understood that the authorities are prepared to bear j a substantial proportion of any loss incnrred by Australia. They expect that : Australia's" net expenditure will nofr exceed £30.000, which possibly will be reeoutied by means of pavilion trading. It is undersrood that the commissionrecommended that the Exhibition be continued dnring 1925. provided the Imperial authorities contnDute 50 per cent of the Australian expenses. The revised expenditure has been fixed at £!>O,OOO. of which £10.000 will be devoted j to advertising.— (A. and X.Z. Cable.)
