The vehicles came together, a wheel of the truck being struck and the truck sliding over a bank for a distance of eight or nine feet. All the occupant.; were thrown into the gorse which fringes the road- i side. The growth impeded" the descent '' oi the truck, and trie children were got out Lrui.-ed and scratched, but otherwise uninjured, except Guy Bourne. 14 years of age. who suffered" a alight fracture of the base of the skull. He was conveyed by the Bishop of Nelson to Dr. Deck, who ordered him into : hospital. I In reply to an inquiry to-day it was :. stated t'aax the lad was mai_ng ptojrress toward recovery.
