ONEHUNGA ROADING SCHEME.
NO. 2 CONTRACT TENDERS. Two tenders have been received for the No. 2 contract of the roading scheme, of the Onehunga Borough Council, namely, C. H. Carson £11,736 18/8, and H. Bray and Company £11,339 1/8. The estimate of the engineer (Mr. F. Hempleman) was £10,526. The tenders were considered in committee to-day, and it was decided to recommend the council to do the work itself 4 under the supervision of the engineer.
