A LADY'S BICYCLE.
TAKEN FROM OFFICE. CHAKGE AGAINST BUSINESS MAN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHTTRCH, Tuesday. Described as a city business man, William Gordon Hutchinson, of the advertising agency of Gordon Hutchinson, Ltd., appeared to-day on a charge that he had stolen a lady's bicycle valued at £8. Accused, for whom Mr. Sargent appeared, elected to be tried by jury. In a statement made to the police, . Hutchinson said the bicycle had been in . the building where his office was situated . for some weeks, and thinking it belonged to his typist he took it home. ; Evidence was given that Hutchinson had a very good business and was not r short of money. He was committed for ; I trial, small bail being allowed.
