(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. At the Addington market to-day the yardings were much larger in all classes of fat stock, but values held well throughout. Outside districts were represented in both sheep and cattle. The yarding of store sheep was about averace, including the usual numbers of small lots of hoggets. There was souip irregularity about the demand for hoggets, but other classes were firm with a tendency to improve. The market was even better than last week, more especially for ewe hoggets. Good four and six-tooth half bred wethers. 33/11 to 30/1 : two and four-tooth halfbred wethers, 31/0: four and six-tooth three-quarter-bred wethers, 30/3: twotooth halfbred ewes in lamb. 40/ : aged half-bred ewes In lamb, 24/1 to 25/; fail-ing-mouthed three-quarter-bred ewes in lamb, 29/3 ; failing-mouthed crossbred ewes in lamb, 24/9 to 26/1: good Corrledale wether hoggets, 28/ ; half-bred wether hoggets, 25/: three-quarter-bred ewe hoggets. 29/ to 31/; mixed sexes three-quarter-bred hoggets, 24/7 to 27/ ; crossbred wether hoggets, 24/9: small and inferior mixed sexes crossbred hoggets. 20/1 to 23/3; forward mixed sexes black-faced hoggets, 2S/. Fat Lambs. —There was a small yarding of 225 nnd the quality was on the light ide. There was keen sale at late rates. Fat Sheep.— 1 Here was a better yarding of nearly 10 races. including a line of 202 from Feilding, which averaged 52/3 per head, the two top pens of 2 making GO/ to 60/0. The sale was practically the same as last week, being firm throughout. Extra prime wethers, 52/, special pens, 60/6; I prime wethers. 44/ to 48/ : medium, 39/ to ; 43/ ; light, 33/ to 38/ ; extra prime ewes, 51/ ; prime, 35/6 to 39/ ; medium, 31/0 to 35/ ; light ewes, 23/ to 31/. Fat Cattle. —Top entry comprised 545 head compared with 885 last week. The quality was very good and the demand for big well-finished bullocks for the prime beef market opened briskly notwithstanding the heavy entry, and continued so throughout. Medium and light beef were harder to sell. Specially good beef made up to 38/ per 1001b, prime 34/ to 37/, medium 31/ to 33/6, lichter 25/ to 30/, inferior 17/6 to 24/. Extra prime steers, £18; a few special, £19 2/6; prime steers, £13 10/ to £17 : medium, £10 to £13; light. £5 10/ to £9 10/ ; extra prime heifers, £10 12/6 ; prime, £7 10/ to £9 10/ ; ordinary, £4 15/ to £7 5/ ; extra prime cows, £10 10/ to £13 17/6; prime, £7 to £9 5/ ; medium, £4 15/ to £6 15/ ; aged, £2 15/ to £4 10/. Vealers. —There was a small entry and the quality was indifferent. Prices improved considerably. Runners, £0 16/: good vealers, £4 to £3 5/; good calves, £2 10/ to £3 15/; small, 15/ to 30/. There was a small entry of store cattle, consisting mainly of cows. Competition was good. Four-year-old steers, £5 10/; two-vcar-old, £3; best cows, £2 15/ to £3 5/ ; medium. £2 2/6 to £2 12/0; inferior. £1 7/6 to £1 15/; good bulls, £3 7/6 to £3 12/6. The offering of dairy cattle totalled 82 head. Anything showing quality met with a good demand. Good third and fourth calvers, springing, £7 to £10 10/; extra good, £14: medium, £5 to £6 10/; good sprincing heifers, £6 to £8 10/; extra good, £12 10/.

A small entry of fat pigs met with a good demand, liaconers improved in price. Choppers. £3 to £7 ; light baconers, £4 57 to £4 15/ ; heavy, £5 5/ to £5 10/ ; extra heavy, £6 2/ (averace price per lb 7Jd to 8d) ; light porkers, £2 5/ to £2 15/; heavy, £3 to £3 15/ (average price per lb Sjd to 9id). There was a small entry of store pigs. All lots sold well at late rates. Weaners, 15/ to 21/; small stores, 23/ to 25/; medium, 30/ to 40/; sows in pig, £3 10/ to £6 10/.
