j "Quicksands," starring Helene Chadwick and Richard Dix, Is the attraction to be screened at the Hippodrome to-morrow. Tbe story tells how a lieutenant In a. branch of the army, which is engaged in prohibiting smuggling on the Mexican border, falls in love with a beautiful girl whom he meets in the course or his duties. One day, while keeping a camp under observation, he sees the girl amongst the smugglers, and believes tbat she Is aiding them. He resigns bis commission and leaves. All unknown to him, the girl is really the daughter of a secret service man who has ' been captured by the criminals. Ultimately, however, everything is explained, and a happy ending results. other attractions are included on tbe programma.
