EASTERN TELEGRAPH CO.
A WIRELESS LICENSE. {Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 27. Presiding at the annual meeting of the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company, Sir John I'ender said the company had applied for a wireless license, but had to ascertain Britain's declared policy before anything could be done. They had received terms for a license affecting India, but it was absolutely impossible for the company to carry these out. Prolonged negotiations as regards China had proved abortive. — (Reuter.)
