WEATHER ON WEST COAST.
MANLKAU BAR WORKABLE. The conditions on the west coast were reported this morning to be a'jain normal. Yesterday the wind dropped and changed to the* south-west, but the sea on the Mamikau bar continued rough. The Jiaruwa left Oneluuiga for New Plymouth yesterday afternoon, hut on account, of" the heavy sea on the bar anchored inside the heads until 7 a.m. to-day, when she crossed and continued her voyage. Plie is scheduled to leave New Plymouth to-night, arriving at to-morrow morninjr, and will resume her usual running on Monday, when she will sail for New Plymouth at :s p.m. The Arapawa also worked the l':ii' at 7 a.m. to-day, when she resumed her voyage to Waikato Heads, after being anchored inside the heads for two days. The Mamikau bar has been unworkable since Monday last. with the result that the Onehunga-New Plymouth service has been completely disorganised. The Rarawa win unable to make a crossing last Monday evening, and on Tuesday the trip was abandoned. She was then advertised to leave again on Thursday afternoon, but the eontinned roush weather caused a firthcr postponement until yesterday, when, as stated above, the steamer was compelled to anchor within the hca.U until this morning. Although the conditions in the city to-day were dull and. overcast, the barometer has heen rising steadily since mid-day yesterday, the reaiin? at noon, when there was a moderate breeze from the west, beinjr 30.25 inciies. Only a small amount of rain fell during the 2+ hours ended 0 a.m. to-day, while sever , ! hours of bright sunshine were resitered durinfc this morning.
