MIDSUMMER NIGHT REVELS.
On midsummer night in the fairy court There was to be a ball. And the gifts were qnicklv brought Into the fairy ball. There was dewdrop lemonade. And beautiful buttercnp-cake ; And bon-hons were quickly made. From the rose-leaves down by the lake. The bees gathered honey from primroses, And the acorn-enps held dew ; Which the gnomes handed round to the fairies. Saying, "Here's good luck to you!"' Fairy Daffodil danced with the King. While the others all danced around; And then they began to sing. Aud the fairy music to sound. The elves, all dressed iv green, Played on the fairy band: And the Queen, in glitteriug sheen, Gave the Trincc her hand. And then the fairies ascended, l'p to a wonderful height— And that is the happiest ball that has been Uu a midsummer"s night.
