BOXING.
ASSOCIATION FOR XE AROHA. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspond^nt.l TE AROHA, this day. A well-attended meeting of sportsmen held on Thursday evening formed a boxing association. The following officials were elected: Patrons, Messrs. R. Coultet, and C. K. MacMillan, M.P.; president, Mr. C. Taylor; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Revell an<". \V. Jonas; executive, Messrs. R Brennan, N. Young, C. Morison, W. Moore, G. Manners; hon. surgeons, Messrs. Gordon, Lawrence and Dempster; secretary, Mr. T. Turner: assistant secretary. Mr J. Porter; treasurer, Mr. C. Gibson; auditor, Mr. E. H. Edmonds. The Instructor of the boxing school, Mr. Young, suggested that an amateur tournament be held at an early date between the local, school and Morrinsville.
