A message from San Jose, California, . states that an earthquake, approximately ,of the same violence a3 that which L occurred recently in Japan, has' been recorded there. The centre of the disturbance was probably in Central America. The shocks continued for over an hour and a-half. The earthquake was registered nt the Santa Clara University. It commenced at six o'clock last evening.— (Reuter.) AUSTRALIAN REGISTER. VERY SEVERE SHOCKS. SYDNEY, June 26. 3 The River View , observatory reports i that a most severe earthquake has been r recorded.
