As a curtain raiser to the third meeting between the Auckland reps, and the Australian Universities' team, a match will be staged on Saturday between the Possibles and Probables. This is a good move, as It will give the critics who hold that the reps. can be Improved, an opportunity of seeing all the best of the local players in action. REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. In reviewing the work of the executive at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby League Referees* Association, -last evening, Mr. E. -Stallwortfay. who presided, said the association was now on a solid footing, and able to carry ont the objects for which.the associatioa _ad been formed. Certain' "rules had been submitted to the association for consideration, and these would shortly be dealt with. Reference was made to the distribution of booklets ' containing the complete and up-to-date rules governing the code, and the rules drafted during the past season would be forwarded to the New Zealand Rugby .League for confirmation. The following officers were elected:— President. Mr. W. J. Gleeson: chairman of committee, Mr. E. Stallworthy; deputy chairman. Mr. A. Ball: secretary and treasurer. Mr. R. J. Stirling; executive committee. Messrs. A. Ball, W. Murray. H. Garlaugher ; vice-presidents, same as last year.
