Milford and Takapuna felt the full effect! of the week-end •term. Huge roller* came in on both beaches, littering Milford with an eight-feet deep pile of seaweed, and washing away sea wall, and frontages. The fir.t photograph show, a solid concrete sea wall on M lford Beach undermined and completely destroyed by the fury of the waves, part of the lawn behind bein? washed into the sea. The second picture shows the end of the Takapuha wharf, which was wrenched adrift and carried inshore.
