Very unfavourable weather conditions prevailed this afternoon, and as a result all games were more or less confined to the forwards, the heavy gale Wowing and showers Being against any attempt at back P|*y. . Notwithstanding these handicaps play in most of the games was interesting. In the senior competition Te Ainunntn and KjKthape played a hand and even f*me, the former team winning by 3 points to nil, an unconverted try by C. Crotty scored in the first few minutee of the game. Pinongta defeated Puabue by 13 points to 3, the winners playing with better combination. In the junior game Te Awamutu anil Ohaupo played a drawn game-—3 all. For Te Awamutu Woods kicked a penalty poal and for Ohaupo Davis scored an unconverted try. Klttauer. an Ohaupo player, was ordered off the field. Pofcuru defeated PLrongia Juniors by 6 points (two tries* to M (one try;. Methodist defeated Puabue by 6 (two tries) to nil. To-day's games concluded the Bret round of the senior competition, the position of the teams being:—Te Awamnt'i (no losses), 5 points; Plrongia, 3; Nsahape, 2; Puahue, 2. CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE, Saturday. The Cambridge football competitions were continued to-day under nasty conditions, a south-easterly gale blowing, wfrth heavy rain. Leamington Seniors defeated Oity by 15 poinits to 5 after a scrambling game, with ■heavy, sodden conditions. For the winners tries were scored by Robertson, Hall, and Broderson. Tucker converted a try. and K. Kelly drop-kicked a goal. Cooper scored tor City, McMillan converting. Junior games resulted: City 3, beat Monovale 0. Floyd kicked a penalty goal. Matangi "., beat Karapiro 0. In the third grade. High School 12, beat Leamington 3. Hautapu Seniors and Juniors were set down to play Horahora at Victoria Square. Owing to bad roads through the rain they were unable to get down to Cambridge. MORJUNSsVILLE. MORRINSVILLE, Saturday. The following are the results of the Rugby football matches yesterday:— Pirates 12. Kaiknrai 6; University A 21, Southern 17; Zlngari 15, Union 6; University B 14, Taleri 3; Dunedin 6, Albambra 3. GREYMOUTH, Sunday. The Buller Rugby football representatives defeated West Coast by 5 points to 3. It was largely a forward game. For Buller Davis scored a try, Schadlck converting. Steel* kicked a penalty'goal for West Coast. The teams were evenly matched.
