MELBOURNE TRAM STRIKE.
DITERVENTION BY JUDGE. J ■MELBOURNE, May 16. ,Mr. Justice Powers, president of the Arbitration Court, has ordered the tram, daymen to return to work by, Monday. He has also ordered the Tramway Board to consider an application from Gripman Howard for reinstatement. Tl|e Judge added that either of the Partita had the right to apply to the Court for a "variation of the existing iwara. He allowed until Friday for either party to appeal for such a variation.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.) . ' *■
