ALL SPORTS POSTPONED.
■ The rain which fell almost continuously last night, and rather increased this forenoon, affected the various playing grounds so much that it was considered inadvisable to play football and hockey games for this reason alone. Continuance of the rain, to make the conditions in which even witnessing football matches would be a rather dreary diversion, decided the controllers of organised sports to call all matches off/ a verdict which was grudgingly made in some instances on account of players having a full programme to get through for the season. s
