OHAKUNE.
A schedule showing the number of building permits and value was presented at last meeting of the Ohakune Borough Council It is as follows: —New dwellings. £1535- new shops £900: grandstand. £450: borough houses, £1600; alterations and additions, £875; new engine sheds, £3000. One shop, one boarding house, and the engine sheds were destroyed by flre during the past year.
