INTERVENTION BY JTTDGE. ' t : — ... MELBOURNE, May 16. Mr. Justice Powers, president of the Arbitration Court, has ordered the tram, waymen to return to work by, Monday. He has also ordered the/Tramway Board to consider an application from Gripman Howard for reinstatement. The Judge added that either of the -partks had the .right to apply to the !Court for a'variation of the existing :»wara. He allowed until Friday for either party to appeal for such a variation!— (A. and JC.Z. Cable.)
