HAMILTON COMPETITIONS.
9 PRESENTATION OF MEDALS. (by Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! HAMILTON, this day. At the grand final concert last night, championship medals won in the competitions were presented by the president (Mr. T. B. Booth), as follows:— Vocal.—Ladies: Miss Ivy Kendrick (Wanganui). Men: Mr. J. G. Young (Te Aroha). Girls: Miss Dulcie Evans. Boys: Bruce Anderson (Hamilton). Piano, special prize presented by Mr. R. Eady.—Miss Marie Dold (Hamilton). Elocution.—Ladies: Miss Dorothea Vautier (Frankton). Men: No one qualified owing to competitors not receiving the required number of marks or not entering the required number of sections. Girls: Miss Iris Andrews (Frankton). Boys: Master Blackwood Paul (Hamilton). Highest Aggregate Marks in Vocal Sections.—Ladies: Miss Ruth Scott (Hamilton). Men: 'Messrs. J. O. Young (Te Aroha) and R. Francis (Wanganui) tied. Mr. Booth .mentioned that it was expected the competitions would hardly pay, but the executive were not downhearted. After the final item hearty votes of thanks were accorded to Mr. Cribble (secretary) and Mr. Towsoy (accompanist), whose work the judge ' described as beyond reproach.
