There was al fair attendance. He condemned the Reform Government's land policy in reference to State advances, and criticised legislation that compelled a who required to pay off an existing mortgage to pay one per cent more than' a borrower with unencumbered security/ ; He affirmed that the moratorium could be lifted if a maximum mortgage tax ■ were imposed of 3/4 in the _, whic_ would give the borrower money at not more than 6 per cent, and would return a clear 5 per cent to the mortgagee. _! ■:'■' vote of thanks was passed.
