Current quotations: Good mutton. 4H/6 to 44/ per cwt; good beef. 42/ to 4_/6; mixed, 4_/; gut, 35/6 to 3S/. LONDON MARKETS. Messrs. Dalgcty and Company. Limited. are in receipt of tbe following cable from their London office, under date 15th inst: — Frozen Meat. —N.Z. prime crossbred lamb; Cantorhurv. heavy f»3d. light lid: North Island, heavy Old. light IOJd. Demand for New Zealand lamb lias been checked by increased prices asked. The market is firmer. N 7. prime crossbred mutton: Canterbury, heavy Old. light 'A: Nortb Island, heavy 6Jd, light OJd. Demand moderate, market firm. „ ~ , _. Butter —Total imports into United Kingdom for April. 1024. were 375.n00cwt. as compared with 427.0n.0ewt for the correspondinc period last year. The demand is "cheese—Demand moderate. New Zealand- White 88/. coloured S4/. Imports into the United Kingdom. January to April. 004.000 crates, as compared with 896,000 ; last year.
