m . INCREASE IN UNEMPLOYED. Usually the number of unemployed on the waiting list at the local office of the Labour Department is about 150 weekly, but this week the number is 173. Of these 132 are classified as- fit for heavy and 41 for light work. In the list are 60 labourers and storemen, and litters and turners also figure prominently. r During the week the Department found private employment for one each of the following: Factory hand, fitter and turner, horse driver, handy man, and eicht labourers. One attendant was placed in -overnment -employment.
