INJURED BY EXPLOSION.
■ (Bj Telegraph.—rress Association.) CHRISTCHL'RCH, tliis day. Through lighting a fire under a dnm of jiluvol, Charles Alexander Peters is in hospital suffering from injuries to lii.s liead and shock. Peters was employed by Mr. Harold Light band, leather manufacturer. Pluvol is a heavy oil compound used for dressing leather. Cold weather caused it to congeal and Petera lit a. fire under a drum, an explosion followed. The lire brigade was called out. but Peters had been rescued and the lire extinguished before they arrived.
