The first Main Trunk express from Auckland on Wednesday was held up at Ohau, owing to a breakdown in the engine. When the. breakdown occurred it was about 10.30 a.m. The passengers were transferred to the second express, which arrived at Thorndon at 2.25 p.m. There were a large number of* passengers travelling, but it was fortunate that the secopd express was not overcrowded and could accommodate those on the first train.
