THE WRONG MAN.
AN ACCUSED ACQUITTED.
fn a charge of indecent behaviour preferred against Oswald Dryland at the Supreme Court yesterday, two young girls gave evidence that accused had deliberately exposed himself as they ■went past the premises in which he worked in Patteson Street on February 15 and IU, but Dryland and an apprentioe in the same employment swore that he was working inside the building at the times stated by the girls. Also, it was. proved that the accused was dressed differently on the dates mentioned to the person the informants had described.
Mr. Justice Stringer expressed himself as satisfied that although someone had misbehaved, it was clearly not the accused, and, the Crown Prosecutor agreeing, the jury acquitted Dryland without leaving the box.
