WIN FOR PONSONBY JUNIORS.
A match between a team of middles from the Squadron and the Ponsonby Thirds was played at the Domain yesterday afternoon. The naval lads were unable to put a full team on the field, and had to fiJI up with substitutes on the ground, but they kept the fast and versatile Ponsonby team at full stretch throughout the game. Ponsonbv at half time led by 14 points to 3, and eventually won by 32 points to 11 This afternoon a team of sailors from the warships will play a City Council team on the Domain, and at the same place to-morrow afternoon the middles team will play Sacred Heart College.
