LADY RIDER INJURED.
MISS VERA MACMILLAN OF W.Z. THROWN AT A SOD WALL. (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. • Miss Vera Macmillan, a New Zealand rider, riding in a ladies' hunting event at the Royal Show, met with a bad accident while riding the horse Snowstorm. She was thrown at a sod wall, and the horse fell upon her. She was removed to the hospital, and is reported to be in a serious condition with spinal injuries. (A. and N.Z. Cable.) Miss McMillan is a resident of Tamahere, in the Waikato. She is a very capable horsewoman and has been a frequent competitor at New Zealand shows, including the last Auckland show.
