HAMILTON MERCHANTS.

• PREPARED FOR EMERGENCY. CAMPAIGN OUTLINED. {By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.")' HAMILTON, this day. ' Hamilton merchants have made put a plan pf campaign to safeguard themselves and supply the public during the strike. Large supplies were weeks ago ordered, and the town is well stocked with necessary commodities. It is not anticipated that there will be any in prices for the householders unless expensive means of transport become necessary. Should it become compulsory to bring goods here from Auckland by motor lorry to Onehunga, and thence to Waikato, via the river to Hamilton, a slight increase will be justified. A route that may be used extensively will be the road from Auckland to Mercer, from which latter piace goods will be brought up to Hamilton via the Waikato River.' It is thought there will be Ino difficulty in transporting small goods ; this way. The only commodities that : are causing anxiety are flour and sugar.
