QUIET AND ORDERLY.

PICKETS AT WELLINGTON. POSITION OF E.F.C.A. *By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELUXGTOX, this day. Volunteers to form strike pickets were called for at a meeting of the Pctone workshop employees this morning, and the first ten for this purpose were appointed. Addressing a meeting, "Mr. Churchouse, a member of the A.S.R.S. executive, outlined negotiations, advising the men to maintain order and remain on good terms with members of the Engineers, Firemens and Cleaners' Association, the rank and file of -whom, he said, were in entire sympathy with the A.S.B,S. claims. He felt sure that members of the E.F.C.A. -would-soon be with them, and if they did not come in by their heads they would be dragged in by their shoulders. The strike appeared to be popular with the majority of those present, but some" of the older men, no doubt having* superannuation in mind, quietly expressed conviction that the strike was no good to them. Proceedings quiet and orderly.
