WELLINGTON, this day. £ serious hitch has occurred in the nilway negotiations. Ibis afternoon Mr. Massey announced U_t a communication had come to the jfiMßter of Railways from the A.S.R.S., jforming him that unless the demands dthe men were acceded to to-day they fould go on strike to-night. It was only fair to say, added Mr. jjssey, that matters have reached a jiticai stage, and another demand has une this morning to the.Minister of jiihrays from the A.S.R.S. Cabinet meets this afternoon to confer the demand.
