MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE SEASON'S OPENING MATCHES. The weekly mcctnig of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League was helel last evening. Following the receipt of correspondence from Sydney touch ins the visit of the T"Diversity team to Auckland this, season the Advisory Committee reported having drawn up itineraries to submit to the Australian body for approval. It was decided that when circumstances permitted two senior matches would be played on No. 1 ground at Carlaw Park. A letter was received from the Takapuna Jockey Cluh stating that no grounds would be available on the clubs property this season foi football. The 'ctter was '"ferred to the Advisory Committep. The draw for the matches on the opening day. Saturday, April _H. and the allocation of grounds, are is r ollows: Ponsonby v. Mangere. at 1.110 p.m.. Carlaw Park, Xo. 1 ground; Newton v. The ballot for Carlaw Park for night training is as follows:—Tuesday nights. Western Suburbs nnd City: Wednesday nights. Athletics and Newton: Thursday nights. Ponsonby and Marists. Marists and City are to arrange about alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays. Carlaw Park will be open for practice tomorrow as follows:—Newton at.
