ADIEU TO FATHERLAND.
AN INVOLUNTARY FLITTING? HITLER TRIAL WITNESSES. TO ITALY FOR HEALTH. P7 Cable. —Press Association.—Copyrlght-li (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, March 30. The Munich correspondent of the "Times" says a sensation has been, caused in Munich by the sudden departure for Italy of Yon Kahr, You Glossow and Yon Sisser, the three principal witnesses in the Hitler trial. It is reported that they have gone for health reasons, but this Is wholly disbelieved. Only on Friday the State Prosecutor denied they had any intention of quitting the country. It is possible, says tho correspondent, that they consider Tuesday's verdict may have an unhealthy effect of their political future. Throughout the trial all the accused strenuously declared they were equally implicated and were betrayed at a. critical moment by their companions. The "Graoss Deutsche Zeitung," belonging to Hitler, and another extreme Nationalist paper, the '"Deutsche Presse," were suppressed during the week for publishing violent articles tending to influence the verdict. Both appeared on the streets in the afternoon and were seized by the police.— ("Times.") EXODUS FROM GERMANY. EMIGRATION INCREASING. (Received 1.30 p.m.) BERLIN, March 30. German emigration continues rapidly to increase. From three thousand for the year following the armistice the number reached 120,000 last year, and a further increase is predicted for 1924.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
