THE RIGHT OIL.
MILLIONS FOR INDIANS. YET THEY SCOWLED. OKLAHOMA, March 21. An auctioneer in two hours to-day took in £1,600,000 from oil magnates who wanted to buy Indians' lands here on which oil has been located. John Pastor offered a cool million dollars for the first 160 acres offered while the assembled natives, clad in coloured blankets, scowled at him, and the &U----tioneeer called him a "piker." Pastor eventually became the lessee of the oil rights of the property for just under 2,000,000 dollars.
