SIXTY-FOOT LEAP.
Presence of mind ea»ed a Glasgow steeplejack from death when a gust of wind caught a plank, which he was lowering from the top of a siity-foot chimney, and spun it, causing him to sway.
He realised he was losing his balance, and decided to jump. He fell 45 feet, landing on a concrete roof. Both his legs were fractured.
John Royle, another steeplejack, fell from a ninety-foot chimney stack at SUgo, and was killed.
