WOMAN LOST IN LAVA CRATER.
A woman, who is said to have spoken with an English accent, has been swallowed up in the crater of Vesuvius.
It appears that she refused to have guides up the mountain. She considered they asked too much. So she went unattended into the crater.
One of the cones broke into eruption and threw out masses of hot lava, and it Is thought she must have been burned to death, for no trace of her can be found.
A woman named "Lina Slostdom," who had stayed at an hotel below, is missing.
The young woman was a Swede named Livle Floodstrom, aged 20. The police bplieve she committed suicide.
