These and certain people in Great Britain have practised the touch system so diligently that the War Office has been touched to the extent of £20,000.
The War Office borrowed 32,000 typeCivil Services Appropriations Accounts reveal that 2756, weighing many tons, have vanished.
Experts have been instructed to sesk these typewriters diligently, but wines and spirits and other canteen stores to the valu'i of £7710 arc believed to be irrecoverable. They won; handed to the Mission to the Baltic Provinces, and the Treasury has directed that members of the mission shnll pay £Cioo. The report says that the disappearance of these stores is "extremely unsatisfactory."
