ST. JAMES' CHURCH.
The Rev. Evan R. Harries starts his ministry at St. James' Presbyterian Church to-morrow. It is a coincidence that it was on the 2(ith of March, IHIW, that' the opening services of this church were held, the. preachers on that occasion heing the. Rev. .John (iorrie, Rev. James Hill, and Key. David Bruce. Tho daily paper in IS(>5. in reporting the services states that in the evening the church was filled notwithstanding tho fact that it was raining and there was thunder and lightning. The collection for the day totalled £170. The choir was conducted by Mr. Westmorland. The subject in the afternoon was the text.
"And there went with him a band of men whose hearts fiocl had touched." It is of interest to note that the services closed with the "Apostolic Blessing."
