PERSONAL NOTES FROM LONDON.

(From Our Own Correspondent ) LONDON, February 21. Dr. J. IT. Ritson, secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Sncipty, has left oil a tour of South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The expenses of the tour on behalf of tho British and Foreign Bible Society, are being defrayed by an anonymous supporter of the Society. Tho Victoria and Albert, fly'mpr the flag of Rear-Admiral 11. T. Buller, C.8., C.V.0., Commanding His Majesty's Yachts, was due to finish her annual refit at Portsmouth. Dockyard this week. Following the promotion of Captain It. 11. L. Bevan, D.5.0., M.V.0., and Commander M. J. C. de Meric, ]\1.V.0., who were formerly commander and first lieutenant-commander respectively in the yacht, Commander H. A. Korster and Lieutenant-Commander A. W. S. Agar, V.C., D.5.0., have now been appointed to her. LieutenantCommander Agar in lfl-i2-23 commanded the Philomel, of the Now Zealand Navy, with the acting rank of commander. lie gained his V.C. for gallantry in the coastal motor boat, raid on Kronstadt in I'JIO, and. in the early part of the war served on • board the battleship Ililiernia in the Grand Fleet.

Mr. Eric J. Wilson, of Auckland, has arrived in London and is staying in Great Russell Street, BloomsbuVy.°

Mr. -J. B. Sainslwry of Waikato, has just spent some weeks touring Germany, Belgium, and France. He travelled to England via Australia and South Africa.
