A WOMAN MURDERED.
ROBBERY THE MOTIVE. LONDON, February 26. A tragedy is reported from Bradford, where Mrs. Gosling was found with her head battered, lying- in a house, affixed to a door of which was a notice statin" that she was absent for the week-end" This apparently was the murderer's ruse to gain time. Mrs. Gosling had previously cashed a cheque for several hundred pounds for the sale of the house. None of the money was found, leading to the theory that robbery was the motive.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
