THE PAPATOETOE POLL.

TO BE HELD TO-MORROW. A poll of ratepayers will be held at Papatoetoe to-morrcw in connection with the Papatoetoe Town Board's improvement scheme involving a sum of £10,215 to be spent on permanent reading (£12,200), sanitary service (£1800), Repayment of antecedent liability loan and recreation ground loan debentures (£1365), to purchase five acres adjoining the recreation ground on the Great South Road (£2200), and a sum of £1650 to purchase a new reserve of 12 acres on the Peverill Estate. This is the first loan scheme that has been promoted at Papatoetoe since 1917, when a sum of £2500 was raised for the building of a public hall.
