OBITUARY.

MR J. H. MT/LDOON. A well-known resident of Auckland for the last 31 years, Mr. James Henry Muldoon, died this morning, aged 70 years, at his residence, Seymour Street, Ponsonby. Mr. Muldoon was born in the North of Ireland, and when a young man went to Liverpool. He came to Auckland 31 years ago, and for the last 27 years had carried on a land agent's business. Six weeks ago Mr. Muldoon suffered from a stroke, and he never rallied- He was a strong worker in the prohibition cause, and for many years a local preacher of the ' Methodist Church. He was also a trus- • tee of the Methodist Church, Dominion < P>oad. The interment takes place to- i morrow afternoon at Hillsboro' Ccme- ■< tery.
