BOY RUSHED TO ENGLAND. TREATED AND DIES. DIABETIC COMA THE CAUSE. (By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 11.30 a.m.> CAPETOWN, January 2. Jack Keighley, a little Johannesburg boy who was rushed to England for insulin treatment, and whose reported complete cure of diabetes caused a stir, has died. The father, interviewed, said the boy died in a diabetic coma, and not from the effects of insulin. His health was quite normal up to a fortnight before his death, when alarming symptoms developed. On Monday a blood test was taken, but the boy died" in a few hours. The father emphasised that he waa satisfied with the insulin treatment. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
