ENGLISH SOCCER TEAM.
NONE FOR US IN 1924. BETTER CHANCE IN 1935. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, January 2. It is understood a visit of English Association footballers to Australasia in J824 is improbable. It is definitely certain a team will be ready in 1925. The management insists the team must be sufficiently strong to uphold English traditions. Thus far they have received few acceptances, and mostly from second grade players. The difficulty lies in the six months' absence. Topnotchers are more hopeful of making the tour in 1925. —(A. and N.Z.)
