Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council, held on the 17th day of December, 1923, the following resolution was passed : "The Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of Special Order, to borrow the sum of £13.500, being one-tenth of the amount of the original loan of £135,000 borrowed for the construction of permanent drainage works, for the provision of additional water- mains, and the improvement of the existing waterworks system within the borough, and for the completion of the construction of the roads and streets within the borough, which Is found insufficient to complete the undertakings in respect to which it was raised." The Loan Is for a period terminating on the first day of January, 1952, with interest at the rate of £5 10/ per cent per Annum, payable half-yearly, and with a sinking fund of one per cent. The proposed security for the loan Is a Special Annual Recurring Rate of one penny in the £ on the ratable value of all ratable property in the borough. Notice is also given that the said resolution will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the said Council, to be held at the Council Chambers, Mount Eden, on the twenty-first day of January, 1924, for confirmation' as a Special Order.
