NATIONAL DANCING.

The Matiku Athletic Club's annual sports meeting was held at Tatumahoc on January 1, 1U34. National dancing events, held in conjunction with the ttbovo, were conducted hy the Auckland Highland and National Dancing Society. Excellent entries were received, and spectators were treated to a rare exhibition of high-class dancing. During the afternoon n handsome silver competition cup was presented to the society by a Hamilton supporter, the cup to be awarded to the competitor securing the highest number of points in Highland dancing. The judging was in the capable hands of Miss Hamilton and Miss Brown, ilr. Anderson acting as steward, with Messrs. Kubbidgc and Gedyc as pointsmen.
