CAMBRIDGE WAR MEMORIAL.

• UNVEILED TO-DAY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. Cambridge war memorial was unveiled by Lord Jellicoe this afternoon, in the presence of a large crowd. A : procession, consisting of the police, fire brigade, scouts, territorials, returned soldiers, members of local bodies, the Mayor and councillors, headed by the town band, marched from the Drill Hall to the memorial. On arrival there tha Governor-General was welcomed to Cambridge by the Mayor. His Excellency, in the course of hi* remark., paid a splendid tribute to the Sacrifices made in the war, and earnestly appealed that the example of those mea who nobly did their duty should be followed by all. ■'_>-' After the unveihng ceremony the memorial was dedicated by the Bishop of Auckland, the Benediction being pronounced by the Key.
