LONDON, November 7. : The "Daily Telegraph" in a strong editorial article entitled "The Wireless ' Chain Muddle," declares: "If the Im- : perial Conference disperses without un- ' equivocal assurances it will commit a : srrare act of omission. The Dominion Prime Ministers are obviously entitled to express their views on the impasse ' between the Post Office and the Marconi Company since it is hindering all their ' efforts to link the Empire. If they were ' to speak frankly they would tell us ' I that they have no faith in Post Office ' administration; it is not conducted on commercial lines, and. the recommenda- ' tions of Lord Robert Cecil's committee have been ignored. The Imperial Con- : ference ought to inquire searchingly into 1 the cause of the present impasse." Mr. S. M. Bruce, Prime Minister of : Australia, interviewed on the subject of ! ' wireless, said that it was his express ; intention to force matters to a definite < conclusion one way or the other. He apparently has little hope that the dif- : ferences between the British Post Office and the Marconi Company can be , hridged. Nevertheless, he is insistent that the imperative needs in regard to Empire wirelees communication should not be sacrificed to a quarrel of the existing nature. ! Mr. W. F. Masse y also intends to bring the subieet up before tho conference closes. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
