SUICIDE IN EPSOM.
I • A VICTIM TO INSOMNIA I Mr. Henry Houchcn, 51 years of age, I residing at :i2, Owens Road, Epsom, fatally shot himself with a pea rifle in the ca?ly hours of Sunday morning. Mrs. llouchen heard her husband go downi stairs shortly after 1 a.m., and as he did | not return she became anxious and went !to look for him. She found him lying J unconscious on a sofa with a wound in J his mouth and a pea rifle lying across ; liia chest. Mr. Houchcn died a few j hours' later. Deceased had been suffering from insomnia for some time, i An inquest was held yesterday before I Mr. J. \V. Poynton, S.M., when a verdict was returned that death was due to a ■gun-shot wound, self-inflicted, while in a stale of temporary insanity.
