LUXOR EXPLORATIONS.

TOMB OF TUT-ANKH-AMEN. MR. CARTER'S MISSION. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, October 4. Mr. Howard Carter, on the eve of his departure for Egypt to resume his explications, said he was positive he would find King Tut-ankh-amen's body absolutely untouched. There was not the slightest intention to disturb the body; only to examine the manner in which it was laid in the tomb. Resultant discoveries would probably solve much that at present is unknown. After the investigations are completed the tomb wilt be resealed. The finding of the body irill not complete the task. Three-quartern of the work was yet to be completed. Great treasures are still to be found. Lady Carnarvon is continuing her late husband's work, and when the tomb is thoroughly explored other investigations will be made.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
