FRUIT AND PRODUCE MARKET.
Fruit wa= in fair supply to-day. principally apples, which brought up to 12/ a case. There was a good supply- of vegetables, which sold at rates equal to those of last week. Xew potatoes came to hand in large quantities. First grades brought 2*d to 3sd lb, seconds Id to lid, thirds 1/ to l.li bag. There was a quod Firpply of eggs, hens bringing 1/2 and 1/21, "and duck 1/ End l/o_. There were large supplies of farmers' butter, which was bougnt at from 1 -& to 1/0, averaging 1/31. There was a plentiful supply of poultry. Heavy cockerels brought to S/6 and hens to 5/. lighter to 6/6 and 3/C. Prime turkey gobblers brought to 18 . Duck 3 brought from 1/0 to 4/6. There was a good demand for prime cockerels, but hens and ducks were of very poor quality.
